BTS open their three-night São Paulo run — and the Oct 30 show goes to cinemas worldwide
BTS played the first of three ARIRANG World Tour shows at Estádio MorumBIS in São Paulo on Wednesday, October 28, their first concert in Brazil in seven years. Billboard Brasil reported a crowd of more than 80,000. The show opened with “Hooligan,” “Aliens” and “Run BTS,” and the two rotating surprise songs of the night were “Black Swan” and “Silver Spoon.” The members spoke Portuguese on stage and danced along to Brazilian football celebrations during “Butter.”
The remaining São Paulo dates are Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. The October 30 concert will be shown live or with a delay in about 3,800 cinemas in more than 80 countries and regions; in Korea, other parts of Asia and Australia, screenings come one to two days later. In Mexico, Cinépolis shows it live on October 30 and again on October 31.
Before the shows, some Brazilian fans complained that the stage would use four central LED screens instead of the 12 seen earlier on the tour; the promoter, Live Nation, said the setup matches the rest of the South American leg.
